Call of Duty Warzone players, this one’s for you. We may have just announced – and confirmed – the release date for Modern Warfare 2, but that hasn’t stopped world leakers from leaking more interesting information about the next iteration of the franchise’s battle royale. . If you’re sitting there wondering what the Call of Duty Warzone 2 map layout looks like, you’re in luck – known leaker Tom Henderson has shared an updated illustration of what to expect.

A while back, a handful of Warzone 2 map details were leaked and fans got a glimpse of what to expect with a list of points of interest that are set to appear on the game’s new map. Now fans looking forward to the battle royale can check out a scaled illustration of all of these points of interest on a map that appears to be a mix of the original Verdansk map from Warzone and the Blackout map from Call. of Duty Black Ops 4.

However, Raven Software’s work with Caldera has not been forgotten. The leaked Warzone 2 map layout features a rail loop – presumably for a train – along dense urban areas, a mountainous region roughly in the center, and a stretch of coastline that seeks to take advantage of paddling mechanics and currently available in Warzone.

Henderson, the man behind all the leaks, shared his drawing via Try Hard Guides – where you can find the image for yourself.

From what Henderson shared, the ‘Modern City’ POI is the largest urban area on the leaked Warzone 2 map – it’s almost double the size of areas like ‘Old Town’ and ‘Oilfield’ and somewhat comparable in scale (if you assume the map will be roughly the same size as Verdansk) to downtown and hospital combined.

On top of that, aside from the fact that it’s surrounded by water and not land, the Warzone 2 map layout leaks also show “Fort” as a POI in the bottom right corner of the map. This is surprisingly similar to where the prison POI is in Verdansk.

Henderson goes on to say that Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ mode will use the new Warzone 2 map to some extent, similar to how Modern Warfare 2019’s Survival mode and Spec Ops used the Verdansk map, but nothing is yet. engraved in marble. So, as always, take these things with a pinch of salt.

With the news that Warzone 2 will have points of interest based on classic MW2 maps and the fact that there have been claims that Warzone 2 will feature “groundbreaking innovations”, it’s safe to say that there are plenty to be excited about this upcoming battle. royal experience.
