If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the Jedi Guardian fighting style on the PTS Star Wars: The Old Republic, it’s out now. But, there are things BioWare would like you to know before you go out there and start swinging your saber and using your force powers – mainly what they intend to achieve with this test.
Currently, BioWoare is focused on what they need to do to make sure players can learn how to play the Jedi Guardian without much difficulty. This means that they have to understand how the players are using the abilities of the class and provide them with the information needed to do it in the best possible way. One of the things they are working on is making sure that the system allows players not to get overwhelmed and that they can use customization without too much hassle. This means reducing the number of abilities while ensuring that they are unique to the character.
For this reason, players will not be able to get to the heart of the matter with the Jedi Guardian. Everything they have access to will be pretty shallow with limits on what’s available to play and customize. Don’t worry, the rest will be available later.
Those who wish to help test the Jedi Guardian in the current PTS will need to go to the SWTOR forums or the game’s Steam page (depending on where you’re playing) for instructions on how to do so.
