Despite how much celebrated and loved The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is for so many players, it has its fair share of technical issues. Since Skyrim First released on the sixth generation of consoles, the game has had many bugs and issues discovered by gamers over the years. While one of these bugs actually helped a player experiment with Skyrim instead of undermining it.

Through diligent trial and error, players have cultivated ways to increase the various ability trees featured throughout Skyrim through many creative methods. A player has successfully learned a trick that increases the skill of lockpicking in Skyrim with minimal effort, but for many skills, especially combat-oriented ones, it is difficult to increase the skill by other methods outside of active combat. However, due to a perfectly timed bug, a certain player managed to improve their two-handed sword skills more effectively.

A Reddit user named InstructionSlow3396 encountered a blood dragon with an infinite hitbox. This allows the user to perpetually improve their two-handed weapon ability without having to worry about the dragon dying. However, this presents an interesting issue, given that the Blood Dragon will likely continue to attack and follow the player.

Believe it or not, there are many feats that players can use to improve their combat skills in the same way that the Reddit user experiences. One of them involves Shadowmere, the horse given to the player during a Dark Brotherhood quest. Since the horse cannot be killed, players can continue to attack the horse and gradually improve their fighting skills. Although very morbid in nature, it is quite effective.

It’s a little strange that Bethesda hasn’t fixed some of the bugs and issues presented in Skyrim, especially considering the age of the game. That said, many fans consider the technical issues within Skyrim is part of the charm of the game. The issues have, at the very least, provided a lot of memes and fan-made content for gamers to enjoy online.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds Ancient scrolls series to come. The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in development, but fans have yet to receive a further development update for the game. Considering the number of projects Bethesda is currently working on, as well as the recent release of Skyrim Anniversary Edition, It is possible that The Elder Scrolls 6 just needs more time before it can be shown to the general public.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S.
