Gong Yoo was then transferred to the Defense Media Agency, where he served in the public relations department and was a DJ for the army radio station. The K-drama superstar was discharged from the military in December 2009.
The South Korean actor has made his return to small screens with the romantic comedy series titled Find Mr. Destiny. He has also appeared on other notable projects such as Fat, the suspect, and A man and a woman alongside Jeon Do Yeon.

Gong Yoo hits the buzz again after starring in hit zombie-themed movie Train to Busan, which topped 11 million admissions in South Korea alone. He also appeared in another box office hit movie called Age of shadows, which effortlessly topped six million admissions in two weeks.
As if that weren’t enough, Gong Yoo also starred in Kim Eun Sook Guardian: The lonely and great God in December 2016, where he played the goblin. The so-called K-drama series was a huge success which won Gong Yoo the Best Actor award at the Baeksang Awards for his outstanding acting performance.
Gong Yoo has joined Kim Ji Young: born in 1982 cinema in 2018 and Seo Bok in 2021 with Park Bo Gum. The K-drama star also reportedly appears in Kim Tae Yong’s upcoming film titled Wonderland with Chinese actress Tang Wei.

Gong Yoo is richer than Song Kang and Kim Seon Ho, who estimated net worth of US $ 2 million and US $ 5 million in 2021, respectively.

Gong Yoo surprised fans with his appearance in Squid game Series
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo shocked everyone when he appeared in a scene from Squid game. In the first episode of the K-drama, Lee Jung Jae’s character was approached by a salesman (Gong Yoo), who challenged him to play a ddakji or paper flip game.
Lee Jung Jae’s character received multiple slaps from Gong Yoo for losing multiple times before eventually winning the award. After defeating Gong Yoo, the character of Lee Jung Jae was invited to become one of the official participants of the Squid Game.
Aside from Gong Yoo and Lee Jung Jae, viewers praised the production for being able to reunite Park Hae Soo and Lee Byung Hun. Squid game can be streamed on Netflix.
