The Red Sox, fresh off a second straight series win, can take the first stop to a third tonight against the Mariners behind Rich Hill (7:10 p.m., NESN).
Hill comes into the game off to a strong start at Texas, having not given up more than 2 runs in a start in over a month. He will face star rookie George Kirby, who has been dazzling in his two MLB starts and has a 0.90 ERA. My opinion? Double or triple that tonight.
The other new face of the Mariners is MLB stealing leader and up-and-coming Vladimir Guerrero (Sr.) Julio Rodríguez, who will be a destructive force in the league for years to come. Right now his legs are keeping him afloat; he won’t have to rely on them for long. If you’re wondering who the next 40-40 might be, wonder no more.
