The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developers have shared more information on how Dawn of Ragnarok’s Valkyries mode challenges will expand into combat.
Ubisoft devs have offered some additional insight into what to expect for Valkyrie’s challenges in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, and in particular how they expand the series’ combat. Especially, THAT Valhallait is Dawn of Ragnarok The story expansion will follow Odin on a journey to the dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim, where he must stage a rescue to save the life of his son, Baldur. Ubisoft developer Sofia has previously teased a few of the threats that lie in wait for the Allfather, including those from the fiery realm of Muspelheim. However, one particular aspect of the experience has yet to receive much concrete detail – the Valkyrie Challenges.
In a statement to Screen Rant, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Lead AI and Gameplay Programmer Georgi Popov explained that Dawn of Ragnarok Valkyries will reside in an all-new game mode, an arena in Svartalfheim that should “push players to experiment with their construction.” Exploring AC Valhalla’s combat system to its full extent, so users taking on the challenges of Valkyrie will want to exhaust all possibilities with Odin’s armor, weaponry, and new Hugr-Rip abilities. This indicates the mighty warriors of Dawn of Ragnarok could prove just as fearsome as the Valkyries in God of the war (2018).
Additionally, Popov said the introduction of the Valkyrie Challenges in the expansion inspired a “activity“where users can”apply swagger increasing difficulty” in battles with enemies of AC Valhalla and At the dawn of Ragnarok. Because each Boast has a unique quality, players will be able to combine them to unlock”greatest rewardsWhat exactly these boasts may entail and how they will currently work in-game remains unclear.
The Valkyries join the world of Assassin’s Creed
The Valkyries, in particular, sound like they could really put Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s new and old combat mechanics put to the test. While the latest entry in the long-running series hosts arguably the most robust selection of abilities and combat options, few enemies forced users to master the gameplay in this regard. This might change when new features AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok additions arrive in mid-March 2022.
At the time of writing, Ubisoft has yet to offer a look at AC ValhallaThe Valkyries in action. Presumably no one has set eyes on the arena they will appear in either.
