Fortnite: 18.30 update lets players choose between Boogie Bomb or Combat Shotgun

Fortnite The 18.30 update is now available. In the ongoing war effort against the Cube Queen and her Legion, two new weapons can be funded to the Donation Board. A new benchmark is also available.

New weapons

In your constant battle against Cubed monsters, you must be equipped with the right equipment. Two new weapons are available on the Donation Board. If you played at the start of the season, be aware that only one of these weapons will be crafted on the island at the end of the funding period.

The weapons in question are the Boogie Bomb and the Combat Shotgun. When you throw the Boogie Bomb at your enemies, they will be sent into a dancing frenzy which will give you enough time to detonate them from the face of the planet.

However, if you want a more up-close and personal approach, the Combat Combat Rifle is definitely the one for you.

You can provide bars at donation stations. The first weapon that obtains the “100% funded” status will be made available to everyone.

Mountain base

New to this patch is a landmark known as Mountain Base. If you’ve been paying attention to your surroundings, you’ve probably noticed the Sealed Mountain Gate near Catty Corner.

The developers have finally opened it up – discovering a new I / O base. If you go there and take a tour, be prepared with the right loadout as Doctor Slone and his guards will be there.

Update on convergence

It looks like the next phase of the Cube Queen’s “convergence” is over. If you want to know what to expect, head to the center of the island.

Other than that, the Cube Queen will be available soon in the Season 8 Chapter 2 Battle Pass. By completing new quests, you can unlock the Long Live the Queen set. These quests are now available, so be sure to do them soon if you want to add this unique set to your collection.

Stay with the squad

This feature was introduced last week in some regions. The good thing is that the folks at Epic Games haven’t found any significant issues, so they are expanding this one to all server regions.

For those who do not know, “Stay with Squad” allows you to replay with your current team if you wish. This is only available for Duos, Trios and Squads.

Fortnite Update 18.30 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS and PC.
