The first seven weeks of the 2022 college football season are officially in the books, and we have another busy slate of games for the weekend ahead as conference play continues to heat up across the country. With that in mind, we decided to take a look at how each game in Week 8 should go according to the ESPN Football Power Index (FPI), a predictive computer model that makes projections for each game.

The Week 8 action kicks off with a game on Wednesday night, followed by two games on Thursday night and two games on Friday night before ending with a full slate of games on Saturday. The lineup features five head-to-head matchups between the Associated Press poll’s top 25 teams, including a Pac-12 top-10 matchup between the No. 9 UCLA Bruins and the North Carolina Ducks. No. 10 Oregon in Eugene and No. 5 Clemson Tigers host No. 14 Syracuse Orange in a battle of undefeated ACC teams.

The Big 12 has two top-25 matchups for Week 8 as the No. 8 TCU Horny Frogs host the No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats and No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys host the No. 20 Texas Longhorns, while the final ranked game takes place in the SEC with the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 24 Mississippi State Bulldogs facing off in Tuscaloosa.
