Battlefield 2042 Day 1 patch goes live ahead of launch and addresses issues identified during the Early Access period, such as rubber bands.

Ahead of Battlefield 2042Launching worldwide on November 19, developer DICE is rolling out a Day 1 patch that fixes a few of the issues that plagued the Early Access phase. Battlefield 2042 entered Early Access last week on November 12, allowing Gold or Ultimate Edition owners and EA Play Pro subscribers on Origin to dive into a week before everyone else.

While the military first-person shooter is in much better shape than its beta from several weeks ago, players continue to experience issues that hamper the experience. Xbox users have reported cases of crashes, for example, weapon attachments often prove difficult to unlock, and rubber bands and stuttering issues compromised the early access period from the jump. Fortunately, it appears that DICE has managed to address a number of these hot spots while developing Battlefield 2042 day one patch.

Editor Electronic arts (Going through Eurogamer) patch notes shared for the first Battlefield 2042 update, coming today, November 18. The patch for the first day constitutes a “small update“but targets issues identified during the Early Access period, including player hiccups too often encountered in All-Out Warfare modes. After downloading the fixes, users should also notice a significant reduction in stuttering on The Breakaway map. Falck’s End-of-Turn Sequence Animations have also received some adjustments. Additionally, teammate display names should now appear as intended. This update will not resolve all issues in Battlefield 2042; DICE plans to roll out two more fixes over the next 30 days, according to EA’s blog post. The dates and details of these changes remain a mystery at the time of writing.

Missing Battlefield 2042 Team Change Squad feature

The elastic patch will go a long way in improving some of the Battlefield 2042 Most egregious hiccups in the game. This server-side lag issue is known to move players around the map, causing them to bounce to a previous position without warning. Hopefully the first update really naps that in the bud ahead of launch.

A multiplayer mode only Battlefield experience, the next major brand release takes place in a conflict in the near future that takes place in 2042. Battlefield 2042 also introduces some changes in the formula, namely forgoing the traditional class system in favor of specialists with unique skills and abilities. The announcement of such a change received mixed responses from Battlefield community, but the real test of the effectiveness of the change is yet to come.
